K2R-803 Cell Phone Portable Charger

The K2R-803 cell phone portable charger has a LED micro usb cable, a LED iPhone 5 usb cable and lights to indicate what it is doing. It has a monitoring system with over charge, over discharge, over current, over voltage, short circuit, over load safety with dual output AND it charges two devices at once.

The portable charger must be charged before use. When you plug it into the outlet to charge, the cable port will turn red indicating it is charging. There are 4 lights located on the side of the device that will flash as it is charging. A full charge is when all blue lights are lit up INCLUDING the cable port. It takes about 8-10 hours to charge completely.

My personal experience:

I read the little instruction paper that came with it and it was very straight forward. I plugged the charger in for about 8 hours and then proceeded to plug my phone's cable into the device. At first I was a little confused because it came with two cables, one for the iPhone and then one for any other device. So at first, I plugged it in using one of the lightning cables it came with and it was not indicating that my phone was charging. I then just figured I could use my phones lightning cable. I plugged it in and BAM, my phone was charging.

It takes a little while for it to charge, but I am thinking it is because I use my phone so much while it is charging that it just continues to suck the battery. If you placed it aside and did not touch it, it probably would charge faster. Then what is the point of that? Seeing as it is a portable charger and all!

I love how convenient it is though. While out and about, doing my errands, I can simply plug my phone into the portable charger and know for a fact that my phone will not die.

Peppermint Oil

Peppermint oil is therapeutic and has many aromatherapy benefits for your skin, hair, general well being and breathing. Now onto my personal experience:
I opened this and took a little sniff of it and you can smell the strong menthol. It is actually very strong to the point where it woke me up and cleared my nose. I applied a couple drops to my shampoo for the soothing feeling and the aromatherapy aspect of it. It was wonderful. It had a cooling sensation and made me feel refreshed. There was no burning sensation at all.

Now my mother on the other hand, she has been having some chest congestion and issues with her sinuses. Please do not do this without a carrier oil. We made this mistake. We tried just a SMALL amount onto a cotton swab and applied it to her temples to help relieve her headache. Within seconds, her eyes started to burn and water. She literally had to keep her eyes closed because the menthol was so strong. Within seconds, her nose felt better though. She did apply some to her chest and she mentioned it was rather soothing. After about 15 minutes of watery eyes and burning sensation, the feeling went away. She said she could breathe through her nose again.

About 2-3 hours later I asked if she was feeling better, she mentioned that she still felt sick and refused to apply more of the peppermint oil. 

All in all, the oil should be used with a carrier oil in most situations and needs to be applied through out the day. It is not something to use to get rid of it instantly nor is it a medication.

Lather & Wood After-shave Balm/Lotion - Unscented

The Lather & Wood aftershave balm/lotion calms irritation and eliminates razor burn. The balm is cooling and offers a refreshing finish to your shave. It is alcohol free, therefor it does not sting or burn. This is a great aftershave lotion for sensitive skin.

The Lather & Wood is a non greasy, hydrating formula that absorbs into the skin. Which will then leave your face feeling smooth. A little dab goes a long way.

Personal experience:
I did not use this or attempt to use it on my legs or bikini area. I had my husband apply it almost every other day for a little over a week. These are his opinions on the product.

He shaves in the shower in the mornings before work. He really enjoyed how refreshing it felt. He felt that it was best to use right after a shower as it helped him wake up and feel a bit more ready for the day.

The look and feel is just like an unscented lotion. Although he felt like he was applying make up initially and it was slightly oily and messy. After it was rubbed in and dried, is when he felt like it felt the best. It states that it is unscented, although it smells like a regular hand lotion and he felt like it would have been nicer if it had a masculine scent to it. (Lather & Woods does sale a scented aftershave balm)

After it has dried and the lotion has abosorbed, it definetly felt smooth. He could tell the difference where he applied the balm and where he did not. There is a big difference between using this and an alcohol based product. His cheeks were soft and smooth, but his forhead was dry.

All in all, he said he would continue using this product as he loves the fact there is no alcohol in it.

As far as my thoughts on it, I agree that there is no masculine smell to it. I would feel his face through the day and it felt very smooth. I could tell he was using it because you can really see the hydration of the aftershave lotion. His hair grows in pretty fast and thick so to see this working after he shaves nearly every other day was great.

My personal experience:

There wasn't really a way for my to actually try this out to see if it works. I placed my debit card into it and it fit very snug. It looks nice, like a single card holder. I placed it inside my wallet and left the house. My husband on the other hand, had told me that his work badge has the RFID magnetic strip that allows him to scan it in order to get into his office. Below is a picture he took that shows he placed his security badge behind the BLOCKIT sleeve and the light appears to be red. Denying him access.

He also placed the security badge inside of the BLOCKIT sleeve and it too denied him access.

The following photo is him showing that the light turns green when it allows access. Notice that he is not using the BLOCKIT sleeve.

My husband did tell me that he normally has his badge inside a clear plastic badge holder and he can still gain access when his security badge is inside the badge holder. This goes to show that the BLOCKIT sleeve does work and protect your card. My husband approved it, and enjoyed trying it out. I loved the design and the sleek look of it.

The Lalune ones glide on so smoothly and the smell is incredible. I always have a hard time NOT licking the balm off my lips because the others go on so thick. These go on thin and leave no sticky or greasy feeling. These have the consistency of regular chap stick in a twist up tube. I would rather have that type then the thick liquid goop! I also really like that they aren't colored. I like my lip balm to be a cream color because I will know that is will go on clear!

Also, a little does go a long way. I applied it once during the afternoon and if you are able to not lick your lips too much, you can still feel the smoothness of the lip balm at the end of the night. I like to apply it right before I leave the house. It really does keep my lips feeling hydrated!

I love the packaging. It is simple yet cute. Just a simple little brown box made from recycled material.

My personal experience:

At first glance, they look like tea wrapped in a bubble like pill. As shown below. I placed it under my tongue and held it there for about 30 seconds. It was not dissolving as fast as I 'd hope. I might just be impatient, but to be completely honest, it was not the best tasting thing. I then grabbed some water and swallowed it down.

I took these for 7 days. It is best to take them either in the morning or right before bed. I took them around noon every day. This is the time of the day where I feel like everything hits me at once. This would be the perfect time to see how the liquid caps worked. The first 2 days I did not notice anything different. I was tired, unfocused and just felt like I could not think straight. For me, this feels like any other day. The 3rd day was different. For some reason I felt, good. I was able to get my kids fed, make my husband his lunch before work, sit down and do our finances and look ahead in the month to see what needed to be done. After 7 days, it seemed to have continued.

As far as smell and taste. Well, the smell, there was no smell. I took them out of the package and it did not have any distinct smell. As far as taste, I could not handle waiting for it to dissolve under my tongue due to the taste. I mean, many others may be able to handle it. I cannot say it is the bad part of these liquid caps. Just if you are into natural tasting, really strong, tart tea, then you will be able to dissolve them.

So all in all, yes I would recommend these, Do they REALLY work? Sure, in my opinion they did. But could it have been in my head and I REALLY wanted them to work, sure again. Either way, both are a good thing. These liquid caps worked for me whether it was the actually capsule or if it was all in my head.

Universal Comfy Co Mattress Protector Pad

Being a mom is wonderful. Yes you have a ton of clothes to wash, a ton of bottles to clean out and a lot of toys to put away. But have you ever thought about what could be on your babies mattress? You know they pee through diapers, they drool and I am positive that they get lot of boogers all over the sheets. I am guessing that most of that soaks through the sheets and onto the mattress which down the road, could cause mold. Those sheets won't protect that mattress from bed bugs or anything else for that matter. But don't worry, there is something you could use to make your babies mattress live a lot longer.

The Universal Comfy Co Protector Pad is 100 percent waterproof and a safe material for your baby. It is soft, quilted and padded, plus it is breathable. These protector pads are thick, but not too thick to were it is uncomfortable for baby to sleep on. It doesn't contain chemicals so don't fret about it giving off a terrible smell. The best part, it isn't noisy. It is soft, but when you wash it, it becomes even softer! It probably would be best to wash it first then place it onto the mattress.

It fits very snug and will prevent bed bugs or any other type of bug from crawling underneath and in between the sheets and the mattress itself.

My personal experience:

When I opened the package, I was certain that it was going to be a plastic, see through sheet or made from some type of materials packed with a ton of chemicals. To my surprise, it was just a nice white cloth sheet with mesh that fits snug around the corners of the mattress. It was really soft and nicely padded. When I first laid it on top of the mattress, I was hoping that it wouldn't bunch up too much because it could be harmful. It laid very flat and was very tight around the corners of the mattress.

Second, I had my 2 year old boy lay down on it and play for a little bit to see how much noise the material would make when rubbed up against the mattress.  To my surprise, it didn't make more noise then a regular sheet would make. Nobody wants a noisy, obnoxious protector pad!

After this, I laid my youngest down for his nap. He usually sleeps for about 3-4 hours. He woke up 20 minutes later. I wasn't sure if it was the protector pad or not. The sheet is fairly soft, but I would wash it first. I placed a regular crib sheet on top of the protector pad and laid my son back down. He slept much longer.  I don't want to say this is a bad thing because it is brand new and needs to be broke in and washed.

Lastly, after my son woke up, I noticed a little wet spot. Was it pee, was it drool? I have no clue but it was wet. I checked under the sheet and looked at the protector pad. It leaked through the regular sheet and onto the protector pad. Luckily, the pad lives up to its description. It did not leak through the protector pad! Saved by the pad!

Here is a picture of what underneath looks like. You will see where I am coming from when I mention that I thought it would be noisy.

All in all, it is a great product. I really like it thus far.

I haven't used many eye gels because I have always felt that there was no possible way to get rid of it. Except hide it under some thick foundation! 

I applied a little bit, The above picture was enough to cover under both eyes. I loved how it felt. Instant soothing feeling. As it started to dry, I could feel it tighten up a little bit. I loved how this did not leave a sticky residue. Although I cannot honestly tell you that I have gotten rid of my dark circles. I am sure those won't go away until both my kids sleep through the night. But I can honestly say that under my eyes certainly look refreshed and hydrated. They don't look dry and puffy. 


I do want to say that it was best used when I woke up and at night right after a shower. The smell was wonderful. It was a very light scented gel. It is hard to explain, it was as if you could smell that it was natural. It did not have that strong perfume scent. It was rather a refreshing scent. I applied this product lest then 45 minutes ago and I can still feel it tightening up. It really is a wonderful product. Children's Advil Sugar Free Pain Relief, 4 ounce

I personally have never used Advil, even for headaches. So at first, I did not know much about Children's Advil. My 2 year old rarely ever got sick, but about 2-3 weeks ago, he woke up at 4:30 in the morning with a fever of over 103. MY first reaction was to take him straight to the emergency room. But my husband reminded me that we had plenty of fever reducer. Without even thinking about it, I reached for the Children's Tylenol to reduce the fever. It worked, and he went back to sleep. 

About 8 in the morning, his fever has still spiked to 103. I then busted open the Children's Advil Sugar Free Pain Relief. His temperature slowly started to drop through out the next couple of hours. I was very impressed with how fast acting the Children's Advil was.

As far as the smell and taste, well the smell was pretty good. It did not smell like a strong medicine. As far as taste, I did not taste it but like most kids, it was hard to get him to take it. It comes with a cup, but I placed the medicine into a syringe and gave it to him like that. It seemed a little easier doing it that way.

The only other thing that I was not impressed with was the writing. The instructions and ingredients is very small lettering. I had a hard time reading it, even when I put my reading glasses on. I know most medicine is every 6 hours, but there are some that is every 4 or even every 8.

All in all, my son got over his fever within a couple days and started eating and drinking more. 3 weeks later, and he is 100 percent!

iPhone 6 Plus Case - IceFox Crystal Clear Case Bumper

IceFox has always been a big hit in our family. Their products are always pretty strong and sturdy. This case was a little different though. Although the iPhone case is made to fit the speakers, the camera and other ports, I found it a little like it was made for looks rather then for protection. The case is very light but it was built to provide well rounded protection. I was actually afraid to drop it to see if it would protect the phone. I honestly don't feel like this ultra slim case would protect much at all. 

It states that the surface is fingerprint resistant. That is, if you don't have anything on your fingers. If you put a dry finger on the case then yes, it will not show. But if you just ate something that is a little greasy, and you even dried your hands off first, the finger print will show.

It also has an anti-dust plug headphone jack. I love this feature. I have always hated trying to clean a headphone jack. It is such a small port. I also love all the cute dust plug charms that are out there (that is a plus!)

Another thing that I do like about this case, is that it is clear. I can decorate it however I want to. Some people like the look of the iPhone and choose to keep the clear aspect of the case. I on the other hand, love a little color or design.

Personally, if you think that you won't drop your phone or not looking for a case for protection, then the IceFox Crystal Clear Case Bumper is for you. If you want protection, I would go for an otterbox case,. They have double protection (a gel lining and then a thicker case that pops on top of the gel lining).

My Experience:

They fit nicely and were very easy to zip. At first I thought maybe I had placed to much into the bags, but after washing them and drying them, you could smell the laundry detergent on them (meaning to me, that they were cleaned).

The first load I only added the 4 bags to the wash then placed them into the dryer. I placed 1 dryer sheet in the dryer. All the clothes were dried and no static! When I turned the dryer on, I barely heard any noise from the mesh bags. Funny thing though, one of the bags I did not zip up all the way past the zipper guard and the clothes still stayed in the bag. I was actually pretty impressed with it.

My second load I changed it up a bit. I placed the 4 bags into the washer, along with some shirts. I then placed them into the dryer. I added 1 dryer sheet and turned it on. After the timer went off, I expected the clothes to still be pretty damp. They were fully dried. I really love the breathable mesh material.

i really love being able to keep all the socks in one place. It was so much easier to fold clothes when all our socks were in one bag and all my sons were in another bag. I think it cut my laundry time down by a few minutes.
