Schick Hydro Silk Razor

Do you want silky smooth legs?! Then continue reading this review of the Schick Hydro Silk Razor! Each of the cartridges are filled with moisturizer serum that is activated when placed under water. It also contains Shea butter and is suppose to hydrate your legs longer than any other razor! The razor contains 5 blades which moves independently to help keep your skin soft! This is to help protect the skin from irritation because with 5 blades, it allows you to have fewer strokes. The "neck" part moves with your leg. Meaning it gets to those hard to reach areas like your knee. The last part, have you ever placed your razor under the water and then it slips through your hands? Well, the Schick razor has a rubber grip that allows you to keep hold of it better! Oh but wait, the starter kit also came with a suction to place it on your bathroom walls to store the razor!

I have decided to compare the Schick Hydro Silk Razor to the Original Venus Razor in which I have used many times.
 Venus Original Women's Razor

The Venus Razor as 3 blades and it also has a rubber grip to keep it from slipping out of your hands. It has a blue line that will disappear when the serum has dissipated. It has a pivoting head for close shave around and on the knee. It too has a shower holder but it is much bulkier than the Schick Hydro Silk suction holder.

I have used this razor for years. The blue strip disappears quite fast, leaving bumps on my legs constantly. The Venus has 3 blades, whereas the Schick has 5 blades. The Venus gets a close shave, but it does not get close enough like the Schick. My skin feels silky soft after using both razors, but the Shea butter on the Schick makes my legs feel softer for a longer period of time. Both have a rubber grip, but the Schick has a thicker rubber grip that allows you to grip it more comfortably. They both have pivoting heads, but the Schick pivots father back to really get that close shave. As far as the shower holder, the one that came with the Venus was much bulkier and kept falling from my shower wall. I kept bumping it because it wasn't compact like the Schick razor.

Now the only thing that I noticed is that shaving without shaving cream, both razors left my skin with bumps, or razor burn. BUT, the Venus left bumps on my legs even with shaving cream, whereas with the Schick, my legs were very soft.

Here you can see how smooth looking my leg is. This is using shaving cream with the Schick Hydro Silk Razor.
Here, you can see slight bumps and irritation from using just the razor. (But, it still has slight smoothness to it, I just do not like how it left bumps)

So, I would make the change to the Schick Hydro Silk Razor, your legs will thank you!

Glade Oil Diffuser and Fragrance Smackdown!

Is your house inviting? Mine wasn't at first! My husband worked at a rubber and plastic company and his clothes always smell like really strong paint! Below is a picture of what he has to wear. Can you imagine the smell that comes from these?

So much dirt!

So much paint!

The glade expressions fragrance mist releases a long lasting mist of fragrance. The gentle mist will create layers of freshness throughout your home.

My personal experience:
One spray will make the room smell refreshing and even the colors of the bottle will make it look good. Specially sitting next to some candles! A single spray is not overpowering and the bottle has a unique shape. Although, sometimes the spray part sticks a little so it can be hard to push it in. If you do more than one spray for each room, it can become very overpowering.

Now let us talk about the oil diffuser. The oil diffuser releases long lasting fragrances. Not only does it smell wonderful, the design of the diffuser will fit into any ones decor! Each of the starter kits include one bamboo holder, one diffuser card and one oil bottle.

My personal experience with the oil diffuser:
The design is a great accent to any room, even the bathroom! This time, the smell is not overpowering and won't become overpowering later on. It works fast and you can smell it as soon as you walk into the room. You can also keep the holder and just buy the refills. Can you say money saver? Also it is very easy to set up. Although it is easy to put together, the refill card seems a bit flimsy and sometimes it is difficult to place the refill card into the scent holder because of how flimsy it is. It is only one type of design, but then again with only one look, it can look good anywhere in the home.

All in all, I am in love with both of these Glade Products. It makes my house more inviting and I do not have to worry about my husbands work clothes ruining the refreshing smell of our home! I would recommend these products! Defiantly check them out!

Welcome healthy Skin - Neutrogena Hand Cream

Are your hands dry or chapped? Mine often feel pretty dry and uncomfortable. Neutrogena offers a lotion in Original and Fragrance-free that is meant for dry hands. The Neutrogena hand cream has clinically proved that the highly concentrated formula does in fact heal dry and chapped hands. It improves the look and even the feel of your skin. In just one application, you will feel the difference. It is long lasting, glycerin rich and concentrated.

My personal experience:
On the bottle, it clearly states that just a dab of lotion will heal dry skin. I put that to the test. Below is a picture of how much I applied to my hands.

That little dab went a long way. I applied it right after I got out of the shower in the morning and my hands still felt hydrated through out the day. I applied it to my cuticles which are always dried out. The redness around it slowly fainted away. The texture feels more like gel rather than lotion, yet it does not feel greasy! It being fragrance free is also a plus to those who may have sensitive noses!

I know that it says hand lotion, but I applied it to the heels of my feet and it felt great. My feet get a bit more dry than my hands do and it is nice to have a lotion that works best for both!

It's like having a little piece of heaven!

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Have you ever wanted to get your nails done, but worried about the cost? Well look no further. The Broadway Nails imPress Press-on Manicure is perfect for you. They offer a wide variety of designs. They offer an easy on, easy PEEL off, no glue, no drying time and no damage to your nails!

Recently I received The Hola! design from Influenster, that were in the College VoxBox and have loved it. Check out the amazing design below:

I wore mine for about 3 days, but chose to remove them. Only because I personally am not use to wearing any type of fake press on nails.

My personal experience:
The press on nails are pretty sturdy and the design does not peel off. Mine stayed on for the entire 3 days until I decided to take them off. You can wear these whenever you want, even on special occasions! They are not too long to the point where it is difficult to do anything. They are easy to apply and remove, and when you do decide to remove them, it won't leave any glue residue on your actual nail.

On the other hand, it is difficult to find the sizes that fit your nails and although they are pretty sturdy, they do often bend at the tips.

Tips and recommendations:
Apply the nails to all your fingers before doing your thumbs! It is kind of hard to apply all your nails when you have your thumb nail on because you need it to pull the plastic off of it! Some of the nails did have some sharp spots on the tips of them, but they are easily fixed if you take a nail filer to them. It did not scratch off the design or peel it in any way. When you do decide to remove them, use a little nail polish remover or some sort of alcohol. They come off much quicker. I tried just peeling them off without using anything and it actually kind of hurt. It was tugging at my actual nail. But once I tried using nail polish remover, it loosened the glue up enough to pretty much slide off for me.

All in all, they are a very nice product to have.
Hope you enjoy!
